Trend Analysis
Two different values do not establish a trend. Trend analysis separates persistent direction from noise, seasonality, isolated shocks, regime changes and alterations in measurement.
A trend is persistent directioninside a declared time system.
It requires ordered observations, comparable measurements and enough duration to distinguish structural movement from temporary variation.
A trend is a sustained directional component that remains interpretable after accounting for noise, seasonality, shocks and measurement change.
Trend analysis describes temporal structure. It does not automatically explain why movement occurred, guarantee continuation or convert historical direction into a forecast.
